I'm from out of town, can I still audition?

We accept Video Auditions for out of state applicants. Email us to request an exception at darkskypercussion.info@gmail.com. Solo positions such as drum set, winds or string instruments should send a video before registering for auditions.

I don’t think I’m good enough yet, should I still audition? Am I too young?

Definitely.  Every season participants end up marching that didn't think they were ready.  You never know unless you try! Participation in auditions will improve your knowledge, skill set and preparation for future auditions.

99% of our members are 18-22 years old, but it is possible to earn a spot if you are 16-17 years of age. If contracted, High School members must provide written permission from their band director to participate and a parent meeting with the Executive Director.

Are you a motivated high school percussionist looking to improve your skills? You can attend Day 1 of the 2024 Auditions as a Clinic Participant. Also follow our socials for our “Day With Dark Sky” Clinic coming in January 2025.

How can I prepare for the audition process?

Purchase an Audition Packet. Register to Audition (packet not included) Learn the material thoroughly and come mentally & physically prepared. If you are not ready to audition this season, but want to learn the packet, go to the Audition Packet link to purchase the packet only $10 - and see you next year!
