Kevin Tieck
Visual Caption Head
Kevin is a dedicated and versatile marching band professional with extensive experience in performance, teaching, drill design, and choreography. He performed with the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps from 2016 to 2020, where he served as Horn Sergeant from 2018 to 2020, and with Riverside City College Indoor Percussion as a member of the Visual Ensemble.
Kevin’s teaching experience includes roles with The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, Upland High School, and Arcadia High School. His work in drill design spans several high schools, including California High School (Whittier, CA), Whittier High School, Loguetown High School in Maryland, and Arcadia High School (A). He also writes choreography for both Upland High School and Arcadia High School.
Kevin is excited to start his second year as the Visual Caption Head at Dark Sky, where he aims to help create the best version of Dark Sky.

Lizz Alonzo
CHOREOGRAPHER / VISUAL INSTRUCTOR
Lizz Alonzo is a dedicated educator from Azusa, California. She began her dance journey at the age of twelve, quickly advancing to competitive dancing by thirteen with her local middle school team, continuing through high school. In addition to training with school teams, she honed her skills at renowned studios such as The Lab, Snowglobe, and Millennium Dance Complex.
Lizz’s teaching experience in dance includes coaching a competitive dance team at Slauson Middle School, leading an all-male hip hop team at Gladstone High School, and serving as the head choreographer for the Citrus College Cheer Team.
Her marching career began in 2016 with the Gold Drum Corps, and marched a year in 2018 with Pacific Crest. Though she started as a brass player, Lizz transitioned into the WGI scene, joining the Pulse Percussion Visual Ensemble in 2017 and 2018. She further expanded her experience with the RCC movement ensemble in 2019 and 2020. Additionally, Lizz has contributed her choreography in the marching activity with Gold Drum Corps, Blue Devils B and served as the head instructor and choreographer Ramona High School’s indoor program. Lizz is also a current visual instructor at Ayala High School and Upland High School.
Lizz is now in her fourth season on staff with Dark Sky Percussion.

Quintin Toma
VISUAL INSTRUCTOR
A dedicated academic in music education and performing arts. Starting his career in the high school marching band following his older brothers' reputations which led him to Pacific Crest in 2018 and 2019 at the ages of 16 and 17. Following these years he began to work on movement and took modern dance classes and ballet at his community college as well as music courses from 2019-2022. Sparking this interest in movement and becoming a better performer he took his newfound skills and performed in multiple community college dance shows and marched at the Blue Knights in 2022.
After graduating from his community college and taking more collegiate courses at California State University Fullerton he took his admissions and new talents and was able to march mellophone at the Blue Devils in 2023. Following that he was also hand-selected to be a member of the RCC Indoor Percussion Visual Ensemble in 2023.
After building his reputation he was then hired to become a visual instructor at both El Dorado High School and Arcadia High School. These new perspectives and styles of movement allowed him to march his age out this year at RCC Indoor Percussion as a visual ensemble member in 2024.
Now he is in his last year of undergraduate at California State University Fullerton for music education, a visual instructor for Chino High School, El Dorado High School, and Arcadia High School.
This will be Quintin’s first year with Dark Sky.
